Ayam Masak Merah is the quintessential Malay dish. Ayam Masak Merah literally means chicken cooked in red sauce. The red sauce mentioned here comes from tomatoes and is mildly spiced with aromatics such as ginger, garlic and dried chilies. The chicken pieces are marinated with turmeric powder and deep-fried before being braised in the spiced tomato gravy. As the gravy thickens, it develops more flavours along with the fried turmeric chicken.

MUSC Masak Merah Paste is a delicate infusion of delectable spices that allows you to prepare quickly the ever-popular local Malay dish. It is a flavourful and appetizing dish that will tantalize your taste buds.

Cooking Instructions :

  1. Deep-fry 1.5kg of chicken meat until cook and the skin turns golden.
  2. Heat up 1 packet of MUSC Instant Masak Merah Paste 200g under low heat until aromatic.
  3. Add in 2 pieces of tomato (quarterly portion) and bring to boil.
  4. Put in the chicken meat and stir until it is well coated with the gravy.
