Assam fish paste, also known as "asam pedas" in Malay, is a popular spicy and sour fish dish that is commonly found in Southeast Asia, particularly in Malaysia. 

Assam fish paste is a versatile ingredient that adds a unique flavor and depth to dishes. It is made from ground fresh spices and is moderately spicy. It is sour, fiery hot and tastes extraordinarily satisfying. Asam fish paste is often served with steamed rice and is a flavorful and satisfying dish that is popular among locals. Suitable for cooking fish(stir, fry, grill, BBQ) or other seafood like squids and prawns.

Cooking Instructions :

  1. Put in 1 packet of MUSC Instant Assam Fish Paste 200g to 300ml of water and bring to boil.
  2. Add in a bit of salt and Ajinomoto (Optional) to taste.
  3. Add in 800g of fish (cut into pieces).
  4. Add in 2 pieces of tomato (sliced into portion) and 1 piece of onion (slices to portion).
  5. Add in 4 tablespoon of evaporated milk.
  6. Cook for 15 minutes. Serve hot with rice.
